About Me
I was born and raised on a mixed farm in Pennymoor, Devon, England. A small tight-knit community very similar to the one I live in today. At the age of 16, my parents and I immigrated to Manitoba, Canada in search of affordable farm land. In 2012, I married my lovely wife Angela and we now have 2 wonderful children, Jayse and Macey. Angela and I manage and operate our mixed operation consisting of cow/calf, sheep, meat chickens and cash crops. We have had a very diverse farming history including renting a Hutterite colony, farming organically, diversifying livestock, no tilling and cover cropping. Nature has taught us many lessons, and we have adapted along the way to develop a more resilient farming system.

Why Did I Choose Covers & Co?
I met Joseph in the regenerative agriculture space many years ago. We all have the same goals in mind, “to create a better farming system that is self-regenerating, cyclic and resilient.”
As I have matured into a grumpy old farmer, I have become more frustrated with the current state of agriculture and its extractive nature. I would love to see the regenerative approach become mainstream. Joe and Travis approached me to become part of the team to present to producers and share what I have learned throughout my farming career. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to positively influence farmers looking for a different way to think and farm. I am excited to meet fellow farmers and share my optimism around soil health.
